I began my love for the outdoors at a very early age. My family had a summer home on a Clear water lake in Central Texas. My father grew up on this lake with his father, fishing and spending quality time with his family. I was also fortunate to have access to an 8000 acre ranch in the Beautiful Texas Hill Country. Here we hunted the hillsides and fished the Gin clear natural rivers. I was athlete and a Boy Scout, trying to balance my schedule with school and extracurricular activities.  Often, my Family would leave town after a weekend game for the outdoors. Always driving late at night on Sunday to get home for school and work the next day.

My parents were awesome. I was very fortunate. Thank you both for this gift!

Today, I see opportunities like these becoming more scarce, except for the few kids who have Parents who make the outdoors a priority. Families bond when they have quality time in an environment that doesn't require a cell phone to be entertained. I promise you this.....given a choice between fighting a Black Bass or hanging out with a cell phone playing games....will have a fishing-rod in a young persons hand.....every time! The key is success! Proper Conservation, education and ethics will provide the fish. The opportunities are for those who create it , and take it! Fishing can make Families stronger.

In Texas we were recently hit with a double tap to our wildlife. First Covid created a surge of available time to fish and hunt. In almost every body of water, Anglers were busy catching fish. New boaters in shallow bay waters, were learning how to operate their new boats, cutting more grass than normal. The Coastal areas were being over-fished by sheer numbers, many additional boats were purchased just before Covid. Then Texas was hit by a killer freeze. Many bait and game fish were killed in the shallow bays. On land, many exotics and wildlife perished in the cold. Texas Parks and Wildlife has reduced limits to curb the damage. Texas bays are amazingly resilient. With Conservation, the bays will recover.

OxCool Technologies can have a significant positive impact on every fishery. A bait trawler tearing up the bay and bycatch waste every day are real consequences when you get your bait at a bait shop. Bait purchased and that survives in the Live well for the afternoon or next days trip will save you money. It will reduce the pressure on bait trawlers to make more runs and killing more bycatch.  Bait is the natural food source for game fish. Hyper-active bait fish, pinned to a hook, will allow a less skilled Anglers to catch more fish and larger fish. Guides know this and supply bait on their trips, allowing higher rates of success. Larger fish are usually female breeding stock. Experienced Anglers using bait fish or Artificial lures know how to target these larger female fish. These Trophy fish are capable of producing significantly more spawn than a smaller fish. This is why slot and over sized limits were established to manage our fisheries. Responsible, Conservation minded Anglers are the solution. The only negative impact of my technology (Being Honest Here)  may be allowing ALL anglers the ability to catch more/larger fish. Our view is that Anglers now have the ability to hold game and bait fish in their live wells, confident these fish may be released in the best possible health.  How many fishing trips end in dead bait/game fish in the live well?

Scary numbers.  Don't feed the birds at the ramp with dead bait fish. Let us keep them alive for the next days fishing, or let-em-go. Fish can now go in the live well, Instead of on ice. Gamefish that are not gutted, sitting for hours on ice loose there table quality rapidly. Try this, Keep your fish alive until the last possible minute before Calcutta/Ice. This would include transport to home/dock in your live well! Save yourself some serious money on bait and Ice. No more fish flavored drinks. No plastic, ice bag refuse, blowing out of the boat.  We support the Responsible taking of all wildlife resources. Enjoy a fresh fish family meal. Taking wild fish for the neighborhood block party isn't responsible. The resource  simply cannot take this kind of pressure. This is the new normal.

About the Technology...

Our Technology is Patented. We also have several Patents Pending. I have quite a few devices that utilize the various intellectual properties. The "how" we do this...is the art.

I can tell you what the "results" are, and how it will benefit your fish in your live well. Everything on a modern boats have been improved, except the live well. Until now.

When I was contemplating solving the live well dead fish problem, a thought stuck, that has not changed. OxCool Technologies must take a system-wide approach to these problems plaguing Anglers. A single problem solved, is simply not adequate. Live well problems are complex and interactive. . Think of a live well as a beach ball. Every problem in the live well gets a color. However, as one color changes (that problem being solved) other colors on the beach ball also start "changing" colors(representing change good/bad of that colors "problem") This is why Universities/Wildlife Agencies/Conservation Groups/scientist have failed. They tried to use conventional/commercially acceptable designs to solve individual problems. The answer is addressing all these problems with a new solution that makes sense, to ALL vested parties. My solution allows boat manufacturers to easily install OxCool Tech's kitted, Hi-Performance live well systems that separates them from their competition. Manufacturers no longer must install dated Ambient Air technologies to avert liability concerns with High-Pressure Oxygen tanks. Free-Flowing Oxygen, regulators, maintenance, and finding an Oxygen fill sources are a thing of the past for everyone. Anglers can now increase on-water satisfaction with significantly less hassle and risk. Personal/Guide boat owner liability issues with free-flowing oxygen and 120 degree Fahrenheit, heat limited, oxygen tanks with fragile regulators are eliminated. The solution must be relatively simple for the Angler, with minimal interaction.
